Digital & Social Campaign

We had the honor to spearhead this digital campaign and create excitement for Netflix’s first Marvel TV show through Social and an interactive YouTube Takeover. I was responsible for the ideation and art direction of the YouTube Takeover, creating social assets, and the ideation and conception of the street artists providing artwork all over the world.

YOUTUBE TAKEOVER

This initiative marked a strategic takeover of YouTube in anticipation of the series launch. The objective was to engage viewers through an immersive experience, offering a tantalizing preview of Marvel's inaugural Netflix production. Central to this campaign was my conceptualization of showcasing Matt Murdock's transformation into Daredevil, synchronizing with the passage of time throughout the day. A highly successful campaign.

This unveiling served as the premiere showcase of the Daredevil costume, igniting a fervor of anticipation for Netflix's debut Marvel television series. The concept aimed to transport fans into the gritty realm of Hell's Kitchen, providing a visual narrative of the forthcoming show's tone, character lineup, and innovative storytelling approach. This initiative catered to the discerning expectations of die-hard Marvel and Daredevil enthusiasts, delivering an unprecedented and immersive introduction to the eagerly awaited series.

STREET LEVEL HERO

Twelve esteemed international artists were commissioned to produce captivating street art installations across prominent global locations, strategically engineered to amplify anticipation and generate buzz surrounding the impending release of the show. These art installations spanned key cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Berlin, Copenhagen, Guadalajara, London, Mexico City, San Francisco, Sydney, and Toronto, strategically chosen to maximize exposure and engagement with diverse audiences worldwide.

I was responsible for the layout and design of the Tumblr site, creating the title treatment, icons, and choosing fonts and image selections for the respective city’s artwork.

SOCIAL

I was tasked with the ideation and execution of these social media assets. The chosen textured style was designed to reflect the authenticity and grit inherent in the show, while also anchoring it to the urban streetscape of New York City. One of the coolest parts of creating these social assets was that they used my business card design for Nelson & Murdock in the Netflix show Jessica Jones as a reference to the upcoming Defenders series! My business card also made another appearance in the PS4 Game Spider-Man as another easter egg.
